journeys, all about Odysseus

Odysseus is a great god who sets of on a journey to battle against other people, leaving his wife Queen Penelope and his son Telemachus back at the palace. Odysseus is respected by most people and he is one of the great gods. Odysseus sails to Troy to battle and after ten years, he still hasnt returned. Queen Penelope and Telemachus are patietly waiting for his return back at the castle. Meanwhile Odysseus had trouble finding their way back. He got lost several times and found help. When he found an island with people, he was invited to eat lotus but he told his people not to eat them as it will make them forget everything. They left that island after a while with some of his men still hungry. With them they brought wine that would hopefully last them their whole trip. A while after that, they found another island and they found cheese, most of his men were rushing towards it though Odysseus himself did not. He stayed in the cave till the shepherd came home. After that, a giant cyclops threathens to eat them but does it one by one. One day, they decide to have revenge plan on him and they make him blind. They are then able to escape the cave. They then arrive on the island of King Aleolus who serves Odysseus good food and helps him find a way back to his castle. He is given a bag of wind and protects it. He accidently falls asleep and one of his men opens the bag and the lets the wind out. He then finds himslef on the island who turns everyone into pigs. Odysseus lets all the pigs free and he stays with Circe. One day he decides to leave and Circe guides himto Tiresias of Thebes who will be able to guide him back.

  1. Shu Mei, basically good summary of the the story so far. Please look through one more time to correct some errors in conventions! I will look again tomorrow.

  2. Shu Mei, looking back again, I forgot to mention that I would like you to tell me something about Odysseus first. Who is he? where is he from?
